The OverView Series came from my farm heritage, the memories and textures of the furrowed ground, the measured tracks of the machines, the weave and heft of a thousand bags of seeds, and the dried brown and gold of the harvest.

THE SEED PROJECT grew out of a concern
for the protection and survival of the earth's native seeds. Nations around the globe are gathering, sorting, and storing them into Seed Banks to protect the seeds from extinction. Encaustic, bees wax melted, colored, poured, and molded, is the perfect medium to tell the old, old story of seeds.
